Karins says: This design was created from my own experiences growing up Lumbee and the memories that connect so many of us. It represents the places, people, and traditions that make our community feel like home — from our families and our land to the stories we carry with us. I wanted to create a piece that Lumbees could look at and immediately recognize themselves in. It is a celebration of who we are, where we come from, and the generations of love and strength that continue to shape our identity.
